The passive RFID system is ideal for events with many participants, where a simple, efficient and easy-to-manage solution is required. Passive transponders do not require a battery and can be attached to the bib, race number or other dedicated supports. When the athlete passes, the antennas automatically detect the chip and transmit the information to the decoder, which associates the time with the competitor’s ID and sends the data to the management software. It is particularly suitable for running races, promotional events, endurance competitions and events where automated detection is essential while maintaining speed, reliability and operational simplicity.

The active RFID system is designed for applications that require higher precision, reliable detection and strong performance, even in dynamic or high-speed environments. Active transponders are equipped with a battery and send their signal to the detection point, enabling stable reading even in more complex operating conditions. The system can be configured with decoders, Active Extension and loop antennas installed on the ground, in mats or along the course to detect starts, finishes, intermediate times or checkpoints. It is suitable for cycling, triathlon, skiing, motorsport and competitions where precise timing, automatic identification and reliable real-time data management are required.
