Introduction

In the context of high-performance sport, success does not depend exclusively on physical and technical qualities, but also on the efficiency of Executive Functions (EF): the cognitive processes that allow the athlete to plan, make rapid decisions, adapt to unforeseen situations and maintain control under pressure. EF regulate
attention, working memory, inhibitory control and cognitive flexibility, proving decisive in key moments of competition. When these abilities are not adequately developed, errors, hesitations and concentration drops increase. The integration of targeted cognitive-motor training with solutions such as BrainHQ, Witty SEM and
OptoJump allows stimulating executive functions in dynamic contexts, improving decision quality and performance under real competition conditions.

Abilities such as focused, divided attention and the ability to filter relevant stimuli allow the athlete to remain clear-headed in decisive moments. BrainHQ offers scientifically validated and adaptive exercises that enhance concentration and the ability to maintain high levels of focus under competitive stress.

Information Processing Speed

The speed at which the brain processes stimuli and makes decisions represents a competitive advantage in sport. BrainHQ trains this function with progressively difficult tasks, improving the management of rapid and simultaneous information flows. The integration with Witty SEM allows transforming these stimuli into specific cognitive-motor exercises, maximising technical and mental benefits.

Configuration 3

Dual tasking

Dual tasking represents an evolution of cognitive training applied to performance. The athlete performs a motor task, such as running on a treadmill, while  facing targeted cognitive stimuli. Motor performance is recorded and monitored in real time by the system OptoJump Next in real time. The cognitive stimuli proposed
with Witty SEM aim to enhance selective attention, processing speed and decision-
making ability. This approach is particularly effective because it trains the brain to maintain
executive quality and decision clarity even under load, forcing the athlete to manage the motor task with precision and control, under conditions that replicate real competition dynamics.
