Every device in the WittyPro family is designed to receive external impulses and manage the start phase with maximum accuracy. To meet the needs of different sports disciplines, Microgate offers a range of dedicated start systems capable of generating reliable start signals perfectly synchronized with the timing system. A flexible solution for training reaction, coordination and performance.
Electronic Starting Gun
Electronic starting gun featuring three different sound modes – gunshot, whistle and siren – as well as an optional flash for visual start indication. Equipped with a portable speaker and microphone, it connects to the Witty system via a dedicated cable to record the start impulse.
Reactime
Reactime is Lynx’s professional reaction time measurement system. In its training version, derived from systems used in international athletics competitions, it attaches to the starting blocks and, when connected to Witty, records both the start impulse and the athlete’s reaction time.
Clapper
The Clapper consists of two wooden elements with a colored visual area and generates a start signal when the two halves are struck together. An integrated vibration sensor converts the movement into a start impulse, which is transmitted to the Witty system through a dedicated cable.
Start Pad
A pressure-sensitive contact mat designed to detect the start of tests and training exercises. Compatible with all Witty family products via a jack connector, it is particularly useful when the athlete’s changing direction prevents the use of photocells for start detection.
