Introduction
Examples of configurations:
flexible and customizable
In canoeing competitions, Microgate delivers maximum precision and reliability. The solution includes starts managed through photocells and traffic lights, with radio transmission to the timing devices. At the finish line, single or double photocells detect times, ensuring immediate visibility of results for both athletes and spectators through a simple and automated setup.

Configuration 1
Canoe Slalom – Downriver (Single or Teams) – Sprint – Whitewater
In canoe competitions (Slalom, Downriver, Sprint), Microgate manages the extreme variability of race courses using a radio system or via the HiChrono App. The start features an HiClock signal light and an HiSens photocell, transmitting data to the finish line where the ReiPro timer detects arrivals across widths of up to 110m and calculates net times. MicroTab/MicroGraph display boards show real-time times and rankings to spectators and athletes.
Configuration 2
Flatwater Canoeing
For flatwater canoeing, Microgate offers precision and flexibility. The start is managed through a start sensor or electronic gun, connected to the finish area via radio using HiLink or the HiChrono App. Intermediate times are detected through LinkPOD Radio devices. At the finish, the ReiPro timer works together with a 3,000 fps FinishLynx camera to accurately distinguish close sprint finishes. MicroTab/MicroGraph scoreboards display live results in real time.
Configuration 3
International Competition
International competitions require redundant timing systems for both whitewater and flatwater events. Even for individual races, the presence of at least one high-resolution digital photo-finish system must always be guaranteed.
