Introduction
Examples of configurations:
flexible and customizable
The Microgate swimming system offers maximum flexibility: it manages manual races with lane buttons only or fully automatic configurations. These include electronic starts, touchpads on both pool ends, starting blocks for false start or relay takeover detection, and dedicated sensors for backstroke starts.

Configuration 1
Manual Swimming
For manual swimming competitions, Microgate uses the ReiPro timer connected to LinkPod modules. The system does not use touchpads: starts, turns and finishes are detected through dedicated lane buttons. Variable-length cables allow timekeepers to position themselves optimally to verify the swimmers’ touch, ensuring high precision even without touchpads.
Configuration 2
Automatic Swimming – Single-Side Automatic
In single-side automatic swimming competitions, the Microgate system uses the ReiPro timer connected to an electronic acoustic/visual starting system. On the finish side, ALGE touchpads and backup buttons are connected to LinkPod modules (one every 4 lanes). This configuration guarantees precise touch timing together with manual backup data, ensuring maximum reliability for judges and timekeepers.
Configuration 3
Automatic Swimming – Double-Side Automatic
The double-side automatic swimming system uses the ReiPro timer with ALGE touchpads also installed on the turn side, connected by cable through standard LinkPods or via a wireless LinkPod solution that removes poolside cabling. An electronic acoustic/visual starting system is integrated. The system allows judges and timekeepers to provide backup data to verify correct swimmer touches on both the finish and turn sides.
Configuration 4
Automatic Swimming – Single/Double-Side Automatic with False Start, Relay Takeover and/or Backstroke Start Detection
The advanced automatic swimming system integrates the ReiPro timer with ALGE touchpads, backup buttons, ALGE starting blocks for detecting false starts or irregular relay takeovers, and dedicated backstroke sensors, all connected to LinkPod modules (one every 2 lanes). The configuration ensures maximum technical precision and manual backup data, covering every regulatory requirement during competition.
