Precision and control on every wall
Professional timing
Introduction
Examples of configurations:
flexible and customizable
We provide dedicated timing solutions for climbing competitions: in Speed events, the ReiPRO timer includes a dedicated sport climbing program capable of measuring climbing times and detecting false starts automatically. For Lead and Boulder, ReiPRO also manages countdowns and performance timing displayed on MicroTab or MicroGraph boards.
All Microgate devices are FIS certified, ensuring robustness and precision even in difficult environmental conditions, including ice climbing.
Configuration 1
Speed
In Speed climbing, the competition takes place on 15m walls. The event includes a qualification phase (best time) and a bracket phase with parallel duels. Microgate offers a complete system for competitions: false start plates, contact panels at the top, and the ReiPRO timer with dedicated software to manage qualifications and head-to-head matchups with times to 1/1000s, all via radio. A 'light' version for training based on the WittyTAB display board is also available.
Configuration 2
Lead
In Lead climbing, the athlete climbs a route within a maximum time limit, aiming to reach the highest point possible. Rankings are based on the height reached; in case of a tie, time becomes the deciding factor. The Microgate solution uses the ReiPRO timer, displaying both the observation countdown and precise climbing time on MicroTab or MicroGraph display boards.
Configuration 3
Boulder
Bouldering takes place on low walls (max 4.5m) without ropes. Athletes attempt short climbing problems within a time limit, aiming to reach the “Top” in the fewest attempts possible. The Microgate solution uses the ReiPRO timer connected to MicroTAB display boards to manage observation and climbing times precisely. The system ensures smooth competition management while informing athletes and spectators in real time.
Configuration 4
Combined
Lead and Boulder are often combined into a single ranking based on a point system: numerical values (up to 100 points per discipline) are assigned according to holds reached in Lead and tops/zones achieved in Boulder. The winner is the athlete with the highest total score.
The Microgate solution flexibly manages both disciplines, allowing judges to focus entirely on athlete evaluation during competition.
