Bio-feedback

Control movement, master performance

Training

Introduction

Biofeedback represents an advanced training approach that uses objective information to optimise the execution of motor movement. The athlete receives real-time data on movement parameters and adjusts the action to meet defined target values, improving neuromuscular control and execution quality.
This method is based on the integration of external stimuli to correct errors, refine coordination, and make the movement more efficient. Biofeedback creates a continuous loop of perception, regulation, and motor learning, increasing body awareness, promoting movement automatization, and reducing the risk of compensation and overload. In sports, it is a key tool for personalizing training and maximizing performance.
Solutions such as GykoPro and OptoJump Next allow biofeedback to be applied in a concrete way by displaying parameters of force, speed, power, flight and contact times, symmetry, and stability, transforming data into immediate feedback for movement correction.

Configuration 1

Load Lifts in VBT

With GykoPro it is possible to define specific power or velocity targets for each lift. The system detects acceleration during displacement and calculates speed and power parameters, comparing performance with the target range. Immediate feedback allows the athlete to adapt technique and intensity, maximising training
effectiveness and reducing injury risk. Analysis of the force–velocity curve also enables accurate load personalisation.

Configuration 2

Step symmetry in treadmill running

During treadmill running, OptoJump Next allows monitoring contact and flight times for each limb, detecting asymmetries and step deviations. GykoPro measures accelerations during the contact phase and provides additional parameters such as trunk position and control during running. Visual feedback
allows the athlete to make immediate technique corrections, improving coordination and movement economy and optimising performance.

Configuration 3

Reactive jumps in biofeedback (height vs contact time)

During reactive and plyometric jumps, OptoJump Next provides real-time
feedback on jump height or contact time, depending on the exercise objective.
The athlete immediately adapts the motor strategy, improving power, reactivity
and movement quality. Biofeedback guides movement optimisation without
increasing load.

Products suited for this field of application

GykoPro e OptoJump Next transform motor data into immediate biofeedback,
allowing the athlete to visualise strength, power, speed and symmetry. Integrated
into load lifts, jumps and running, they provide objective parameters for
personalised training, instant movement corrections and effective injury
prevention strategies.
