Professional timing
Introduction
Examples of configurations:
flexible and customizable
For PGS, Microgate offers FIS-certified systems with automatic start gates, finish photocells, and timers with dedicated parallel-race programs. SBX configurations integrate photo-finish systems for close finishes, while Slalom and Giant Slalom follow alpine skiing standards. The entire range is designed to guarantee constant precision and maximum reliability even in extreme weather conditions.

Configuration 1
Parallel Giant Slalom (PGS)
For Parallel Giant Slalom, the system uses ReiPRO or RTpro FIS-certified timers with GPS synchronization. Qualification runs are managed with HiStart start gates and HiSens photocells, while knockout phases integrate ALGE start gates and dual HiSens photocells to determine winners on red and blue courses. The dedicated parallel-race software ensures simple operation and compatibility with the most widely used ranking software.
Configuration 2
Snowboard Cross SBX
For Snowboard Cross, the system manages qualification rounds using the HiStart gate, HiSens photocells, and ReiPRO or RTpro GPS-synchronized timers. In knockout phases, ALGE start gates and FinishLynx photo-finish systems provide precise finish order detection. The configuration guarantees FIS certification, operational simplicity, and reliability even in difficult weather conditions.
Configuration 3
Slalom and Giant Slalom
For Slalom and Giant Slalom, the system follows alpine skiing standards and is based on the FIS-certified ReiPRO timer with GPS synchronization, HiStart start gate, and HiSens photocells. Audio communication is managed via cable with amplifiers and headsets. The software handles single starts, BIBO rule calculations, rankings, and race reports required for FIS Timing Reports. RTpro can be used as backup.
Configuration 4
Freestyle
In Freestyle competitions, rankings are primarily based on judges’ style evaluations, while timing is used for run duration and speed measurements. For speed traps, two wireless HiSens photocells connect directly to MicroTAB or MicroGRAPH display boards, showing live data instantly to spectators. The solution eliminates cabling and reduces the need for dedicated timing operators.
